Privacy notice

What we record

Each time a student clocks in or out, or tries to: the date and time, GPS location and its accuracy, device details (model, operating system, app or browser version, a device identifier), and IP address. Refused attempts keep only the distance from class, not the location. We also keep the roster details the school gives us: name, email and phone.

When location is read

Only during a clock action, after the student taps. Never in the background. The iPhone app won't clock in or out without location access, because that is how presence is checked.

Who can see it

The student's school and its instructors, and AttendVia's administrator. We don't sell this information or use it for advertising.

Why

To confirm a student was present and to keep the attendance hours a school must keep for its program.

Face ID

If you turn on the app's optional Face ID lock, it stays on your phone. Face data never reaches AttendVia.

How long we keep it

Refused attempts are deleted after 90 days. Attendance records are kept for as long as schools must keep them.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app or on your Profile page. Your sign-in and optional details are removed. Attendance records your school must keep for compliance are retained under your roster name.
